What is Direct Access?

Direct access is the patient's ability to go to physical therapy without a referral from their primary care physician.

How does this benefit you the patient?

Direct access provides the patient the ability to be seen and treated by a physical therapist sooner. Patients do not have to wait to be seen by their doctor then wait for the referral to be processed by the office before being set up with PT. Studies show that when patients are able to receive care sooner it results in much better outcomes.

How do I confirm with my doctor?

In Florida physical therapists have the ability to treat patients for 30 days without needing a referral from their doctor. It is OUR belief to provide the highest level of patient care and by doing so we will collaborate care with your doctors. When we perform an initial evaluation our team will fax the note to your PCP for them to review.
